About Janet MacFarlane

Finding balance and flow in life can be a challenge. While raising a family and going though the ups and downs of living, it is easy to lose balance or feel “stuck.” There have been some challenging times and coming out of them, I have always found that a connection to the natural world helps me get “unstuck.” Nature reminds me to tune into the rhythms of life and let those rhythms flow into my own day to day living. Forest Bathing is a wellness practice that helps me do just that.

As a yoga instructor, backyard naturalist and nature photographer, becoming a Forest Therapy Practitioner and Forest Bathing Guide was a natural transition. It brings all the things I love together. The mindfulness of yoga combined with the appreciation of the present moment while being in nature brings me a sense of peace and a feeling of being at one with life and the world around me. I hope to share some of that with you.
